Even if you can't vote for this city proposal you can still help immensely with financial support. This proposal affects all of Washtenaw County. With sprawl developers vowing to spend up to $400,000 to defeat the proposal, we need your support.

Contributions to ballot proposal campaigns are not tax deductible under federal law.

The Sierra Club's "Shopping for the Earth" program contributes a portion of the money you spend at any of our twelve retail partners to the Washtenaw County Sierra Club, Huron Valley Group (HVG). HVG pledges all profits to supporting Proposal B.

The #1 priority for The Sierra Club, Huron Valley Group (HVG) is stopping sprawl. HVG has donated more money to the last three sprawl campaigns than any other local environmental group and has made fighting sprawl its top priority.

Over the course of a year, you can contribute hundreds of dollars to the fight against sprawl -- and all without spending a penny more than you would spend anyway, since participants get $1 in merchandise for every $1 they spend in the program.

Just mail in the order form with your check (the order form will be downloaded as a Microsoft Word document named SFTE-order.doc. If you don't have MS Word a free reader is available from Microsoft). I'll send you the certificates, and then you spend the certificates in the corresponding store just as if they're cash.
